“Initially we were a nervous wreck, not knowing what to expect. We settled in quite comfortably due to the support and guidance we were given by our social worker and the team at Fostering People. Not every day was easy, and it required hard work, from courses to attend to personal time management, but we grew closer as a family.

It was a very long journey, but was worth it in the end when we went out as a family and saw our foster child laughing and enjoying herself and being part of the family. To be part of her life, to bring her happiness and compassion has given us joy in our hearts which is indescribable. Just to have the knowledge that we have made a difference to someone has given us satisfaction deep in our hearts”
