We are delighted to be supporting this year’s LGBT Adoption and Fostering Week and we are pleased to see that it is growing year on year.
We have a number of events taking place in different parts of the country across March for you to come and speak to us in person, so if you have any questions about becoming a foster carer we’ll be happy to help.
If you can’t attend any of these events you can get in touch at any time, our friendly team will be happy to help.
For this year’s LGBT Adoption and Fostering Week, we wanted to share with you a collection of stories which illustrate our commitment to be an inclusive agency regardless of gender or sexuality.
The first story is from our receptionist Toni, who shared with us her own coming out story and how she has found working at Fostering People as an LGBT employee. Read her story
Our second story regards a young man in our care who is has questions regarding his gender. Read his story
And our final story is an update from Damian and Rob, they began fostering a year ago as a gay couple, last year they shared with us why they wanted to foster and what it was like for them being newly approved. Now they have been fostering for a year and haven’t looked back. Read their story
