Fostering People Trio to Participate in Charity Swim

Fostering People’s Sarah Hook, Helen Armitage and Lesley Dale are taking part in the ‘Aspire Channel Swim’

Their challenge is to swim the equivalent of the English Channel, some 22 miles over the course of 12 weeks, between 13th September and 5th December 2010.  Whilst getting fit they will also be raising money for the charity Aspire. 

The charity works with people who have suffered a spinal cord injury.  Their services include adapting housing to enable people to leave hospital,  providing specialist computer equipment and employing independent living officers who provide direct support and advice to people who have recently suffered a spinal cord injury.
