Foster Care with Fostering People
Life’s better with kids. Become a foster carer and you could make an incredible difference.
Fostering is when a child is placed into the care of foster carers because they’re unable to live with their own family. In the UK 69,000 children need a safe and stable home with a foster parent who can look after them for as long as they need it. This could be a few days, months or years. With the help of our foster carers, these children can live a normal life.
Why foster with us?
At Fostering People, we care about our carers a lot. In fact we’ve achieved a very high satisfaction rate with 90% of our foster carers saying they feel respected and listened to in their role. As an independent agency, we provide you with the following:
- A comprehensive fostering allowance
- 24 hour support; 7 days a week, 365 days a year
- Locally-based support groups
- Regular visits from a dedicated and experienced social worker
- Initial and continuing training and development opportunities
- Fun social activities
Could you foster?
We really don’t mind if you’re married, single, cohabiting or in a same sex relationship. All we ask is that you provide a stable home for a foster child.
You don’t need to have had children or worked with young people. Life skills are essential and for this reason our foster carers are generally above 25.
What’s really important to us is that you enjoy the company of young people, have a sense of humour and the ability to see the positives wherever possible.
If this is you, we’d love to hear from you.
