About fostering people
Fostering People is an Independent Fostering Agency based in Nottingham, East Midlands. We provide a quality fostering service to Local Authorities throughout Central England, Yorkshire, the North West and the North East of England.
Formed in 2000, we have enjoyed a decade of steady but significant growth, maintaining a continual assessment of our functions, foundations and service provisioning in order to optimise the outcomes we achieve.
How we operate
The Fostering People head office in Nottingham provides a central resource from which all services are coordinated, including carer recruitment initiatives. It is also where our placement staff, Quality Assurance and finance departments are based.
We have a network of home-based Social Workers throughout all areas in which we operate, providing the highest level of locally based support to our foster carers.
Our Vision
Working together with Local Authorities across England, Fostering People staff and carers will continue to meet the individual needs of each child or young person. We aim to make a positive and lasting difference to each and every placement and to support looked after children and young people to achieve the best possible outcomes. 
Goals
We retain our drive to develop as a fostering agency, in both our service provisioning and areas for which we cover.
Our goals at Fostering People will be to:
- Be recognised as a local partner
- Expand into new geographical areas across England and Scotland
- Increase the number of Local Authority customers
- Increase the number of long lasting placements annually
- Increase the number of resilient and trained carers annually
- Attain outstanding in our Ofsted inspection
