Here's the exciting bit! Whether you're after some useful extra information about fostering, or generally looking for activities to get involved in, take a look through this directory.
Air Training Corps: The Air Training Corps is run by the Royal Air Force and could give you the chance to fly in an aircraft, as well as giving you the chance to take part in lots of exciting and rewarding activities. If you are between the age of 13 and 20 years old you can be a part of this action packed clubs and make loads of new friends.
Army Cadets: If you are more interested in getting training on military, adventurous and first aid skills, whilst developing discipline, and good citizenship then the Army Cadets is for you. If you are between 12 and 18 years old you could join your nearest group.
Children's Rights Team: The government Children and Young People's rights Director Roger Morgan. He and his team want to hear what children and young people think about living away from home and make sure you are listened to and your rights are respected.
Connexions Direct: Information on topics such as careers, housing, finance, relationships for young people aged 13-19 years
Direct Gov: Access to a wide range of online services for young people
Girl Guides: If you are a girl or young woman between the age of 5 and 25 years old, you might want to try the Girl Guides. Like the Scouts, the groups meet regularly to try new things, have new adventures and experiences and learn new skills. You can develop your self respect, self confidence and make lots of new friends whilst having some fun.
National Association of Youth Theatres: If you want to try singing, acting or dancing, then there are loads of drama groups to get involved in. It is a great way to meet people and build your confidence.
Poetry Society: Sometimes writing things down is a great way of expressing your thoughts, ideas and imagination. Perhaps you fancy writing short stories, plays or even poetry?
Sea Cadets: Maybe you fancy your challenges both on and off the water? If you choose to join the sea cadets you could meet new people and have some great adventures through an organisation supported by the Royal Navy. You can join if you are between 12 and 18 years old. If you are between 10 and 12 years old you could join their Junior Section.
Sport England: A great way to get active, improve your health and meet new friends is to get involved in sports. There are loads of different things you can try- both indoors and outdoors, in a team with others or on your own. There is something out there for everyone.
St John Ambulance: If you're aged between 10 and 17 years old, you can join one of the St John Ambulance Cadet units, which operate throughout the country. At cadets, it's all about fun, adventure and community. If you're between 10 and 18 years old, you can join St John Ambulance and learn vulnerable First Aid and Leadership skills as part of a development programme. You will also have plenty of fun and make new friends. If you're between 5 and 10 years old you can join the younger Badgers group and join in too.

The Prince's Trust: The Prince's Trust is a UK charity that gives practical and financial support to vulnerable young people who need it most. They help develop key skills, confidence and motivation, enabling young people to move into work, education and training. If you're 14 or over, then the Princes Trust can help you to take responsibility for yourself- helping you build the life you choose rather than one you've ended up with.
There4me: There4me is an 'online' NSPCC web site for you, if you're between 12-16 years old and are worried about something and need help.
The Duke of Edinburgh's Award: The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is a voluntary non-competitive and flexible programme of cultural and adventurous activities for all young people, whatever their background or ability. The Award is widely recognised by schools, colleges and employers as a way of seeing that you have developed as a person and have a range of skills outside of school achievement. The scheme is open to all 14-25 year olds.
The Scout Association: The scouts is a club for 6-25 year olds. The clubs provide regular meetings where you can do adventurous activities and develop your own skills whilst meeting new people. Their activities promote physical, intellectual, social and spiritual well being.
Youth Access: Youth Access is the national organisation for young people's information, counselling and support services.
Youth Music: You probably like listening to music but have you thought about getting involved yourself? Whether you already play an instrument or want to learn, or if you fancy having a go at singing then there are plenty of options.
